If you have already completed sound training in laser safety for events involving laser radiation, for example in another country or in a similar context, it is possible to have this training recognised by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

For this purpose, it is necessary to submit a written application and provide the relevant documents.

The Federal Office of Public Health writes in this regard:

Other training qualifications can be checked for equivalence at the FOPH.

An application must be submitted at least five and a half months before an event with class 1M, 2M, 3R, 3B or 4 laser radiation is planned to take place in Switzerland. The processing of the application is subject to a fee.

The costs for processing amount to CHF 250 - 3000.

Depending on the level of training, compensatory measures can be ordered to compensate for the difference in the level of knowledge and training compared to the requirements of the O-NISRA.

It is very likely that the FOPH will order compensatory measures, as there are currently no comparable training courses offered worldwide as required by the O-NISRA.

If compensatory measures are imposed on you, we, as a recognised examination centre, can help you to achieve the corresponding training goal.

Please send us an email if the FOPH has imposed specific measures on you - we will be happy to support you: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
